My Story

My name is Chloe Henderson. I am an Edinburgh-based interdisciplinary artist.

I a graduate of the Birmingham School of Jewellery with a Master of Arts Degree with Distinction in Jewellery and Related Products. I previously trained as a jeweller at The Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, Dundee, and graduated with a Bachelors of Design Honours in 2014.

The work that I developed throughout my MA centred around expanding the jewellery object to create Chimeric human-animal hybrid costumes on a large scale. I became enamoured with the medium of film, and combined these pieces with their human actors to form characters who captured ridiculous, surreal, fantastical stories that were told through filmed mockumentaries.

I am currently working on my next film...

I am greatly inspired by nerd culture, the human condition, mythological creatures, and anything a little bit fantastical. As well as being a jeweller, and filmmaker, I also create illustrative drawings. My illustrations are highly patterned, and feature subjects from portraiture, to faerytales, to the natural world.

In my spare time I tame unicorns and swim with mermaids.
